Frequently asked questions

Why do I get an error, or no output, converting to TOML?

TOML needs an object at the top level — a bare array or plain value can't be represented as a TOML document. Wrap it in an object first.

What happens to a null value?

TOML has no null type, so a JSON null has no direct equivalent. Remove that key, or replace it with a real value (an empty string, 0, false), before converting.

How are nested objects and arrays handled?

A nested object becomes its own [section] table, and an array of objects becomes an array of tables ([[section]]).

Is my data uploaded anywhere?

No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser.
